Stephen Shackleford and Craige Lyerly played for the Morganton Aggies in 2008. Shackleford drafted in the 35th round was a pitcher from Savannah College of Art and Design, and Lyerly drafted in the 19th round was a 3B/OF from Catawba College. Lyerley hit .381 with 4 hrs and 30 RBI, while Shackleford posted a 4-2 record with a 1.65 ERA and 44 strikeouts to 8 walks for the 2008 Aggies. Congratulations to these former Aggies.

The 2010 Morganton Aggies reported today, and are beginning to prepare for the season. The team will practice over the weekend, and the season opener is set for 7:00 PM June 1st at Shuey Field. The Aggies will take on the Lake Norman Copperheads.
