The Lake Norman Copperheads are pleased to announce the signing of another East Carolina Pirate, D.J. Jauss.  The sophomore right-hander will bring a great breaking ball and knowledge of pitching to the Copperheads staff this summer.  Jauss spent last summer playing for Morehead City of the Coastal Plain League.  D.J. grew up around baseball as his father has spent 23 years in professional baseball most recently as the bench coach for the New York Mets.  He currently works as a roving instructor for the New York Mets and has also worked for Baltimore Orioles, Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox and Montreal Expos.  D.J. will help solidify a stable of arms that looks to the be best Lake Norman has seen yet.
