Appalachian State sophomore Will Helms will be joining teammates Ryan Stetson, Tyler Zupcic and Tyler Tewell with the Lake Norman Copperheads in 2010.  In 2009, Helms hit .273 for the Mountaineers with starts in the outfield and at DH.  He also sported a .403 on-base percentage.  On the mound he went 2-0 with an ERA under 4.00.  He then went 1-0 with the Gastonia Grizzlies in the Coastal Plains League as he was a mainstay in their rotation.  Helms will also be reuniting with former high school teammates Zupcic, C.A. Clayton, and Jordan Fuller.  All of the above played for Danny Hignight at Providence High School.
