The Lake Norman Copperheads are pleased to announce the additions of two Carson-Newman Eagles to the 2009 summer roster.  Coming back to Hopewell this summer will be a familiar face in Wesley Dozier.  The former Hopewell Titan hit .310 with 10 doubles and 34 RBI's while compiling a .423 OB% last season with the Eagles.  Joining him from Carson-Newman will be All-SAC performer, Derek Long.  The junior first baseman hit .352 last season while scoring 44 runs.  He is also known for his defensive skills around the bag at first base.  He had a fielding percentage of .991 in 2008.
