With the 2008 season underway, many Lake Norman Copperheads are off to a fast start. 

At Pfeiffer University, Andy Oliver is (1-0) with three saves in eight appearances.  He has yet to give up an earned run in 14.2 innings of work.  He has also struck out 17 while walking only three. 

At Lenoir-Rhyne College, Brandon Padgett is (2-0) with a 1.37 ERA.  He has thrown 14.2 straight scoreless innings.

At Alvernia College, Zach Grey made his college debut by throwing five scoreless innings and getting the win against Lynchburg College.  He struck out four and walked one.

Appalachian State Catcher, Jerod Faggart went 5-7 (.714 BA) in the weekend series against NC State.  He also notched a 2B and an RBI.

At Charlotte, Cory Tilton hit .333 on the weekend with a double and four RBI's.  He saw time in both LF and RF for the Niners as they swept Manhattan.
