The East Carolina Pirates will be sending three guys to Davidson this summer.  Last summer, they sent all-star Devin Harris and LHP Shane Small who was Davidson's top arm before going down with an injury.  This summer, the Pirates will be sending 6'0 RHP Britton Cole.  The junior transfer from Pitt Community College started game two for the Pirates in the Purple/Gold World Series.  Cole will be expected to do the same for the Copperheads this summer.  Also joining the Copperheads will be redshirt freshman outfielder Austin Homan.  The 6'3 lefthanded hitter will be looked upon to add some punch to the middle of the Copperheads lineup this summer.  Homan went 3 for 6 in the Pirates World Series this fall.  Joining Cole and Homan this summer will be true freshman, Cam Freeman.  Freeman is a plus runner who can play 2B, 3B, or SS.  Freeman's versatility will be taken advantage of this summer for the Copperheads.

The Copperheads are still in need of host families this summer.  If you are interested, please contact Derek Shoe at dshoe@copperheadsports.org or at 704-305-3649.
