The "Carolina Thuder," previously the Carolina Sox, have relocated to Fort Mill High School and have changed their name to the "Carolina Thunder."  They will continue to be a team that represents all of York County, SC.  The team has represented York County well since their move in 2003 for the 2004 season.  The Thunder have been Division Champions each year since their move.  They finished one season as the League Runner Up and one season as Regular Season Champions.  Also, during this period of time, the Sox have sent more players to the League All Star Games than any other team in the League.
The Carolina Thunder are registered as a 501 (c) 4 non-profit organization.  There are many sponsorship opportunities available with the Thunder.  Just to name a few, company fence signs; special events between innings at each game; baseball sponsor with your company name or logo on each baseball; bat sponsor with your logo or name on each wood bat; uniform sponsor with your logo or name on a patch sewn on each team jersey; T-shirt sponsor with your logo printed on the back of each player's warm-up shirt and on all souvenir T-shirts; home game sponsors; broadcast sponsors; transportation sponsors and player sponsors.
There are also opportunities to be Host Families for our players and perhaps have an opportunity for your son to work with a college player over the summer to improve his skills.  The Host Families are also invited to all our games as our Special Guests and are recognized throughout the season at all events.  Anyone who wishes to be a Sponsor or a Host Family should contact Larry Tremitiere at (803) 366-5436.
We hope everyone will attend the Carolina Thunder home games at Fort Mill High School.  You will have the opportunity to see some of the best college players from across the country as they compete against other teams in the League.  Tickets are only 5.00 for Adults;  3.00 for Seniors and Students; and free admission for children 12 and under and for any players who come in their baseball uniforms.  Teams accompanied by a coach are also admitted free of charge.  Any players in uniform who would like to go on the field and stand with the Carolina Thunder Players during the playing of the National Anthem are welcome to do so.  Souvenir Baseballs, Caps, and T-Shirts are available at the concession stand and all the players will be glad to sign autographs for the fans.  You don't have to have a souvenir baseball to get a player's autograph.
