7/28/2005 Asheville Sees Season End with
LENOIR, N.C.—Dustin Longchamps through a complete game one-hitter as the Athens Pirates eliminated the Asheville Redbirds 5-0 Thursday afternoon in the SCBL Championship Tournament. Asheville sees its season end with a 22-17 overall record after going 2-2 in the Championship Tournament.
 
7/27/2005 Redbirds Eliminate Rock Hill
LENOIR, N.C.—The Asheville Redbirds eliminated the top seeded Rock Hill Sox to stay alive in the SCBL Championship Tournament on Wednesday night. The Redbirds are one of four teams still alive in the tournament and will face Athens on Thursday in another elimination game. Asheville defeated Athens in the opening round of the tournament but the Pirates defeated Davidson on Tuesday to advance to Thursday’s game.
 
7/27/2005 Asheville Falls Into Loser's B
LENOIR, N.C.-- The Kernersville Bulldogs were too much for Asheville on Wednesday afternoon in the second round of the SCBL Championship Tournament. The Bulldogs advance to the winner's bracket final while the Redbirds will play the Rock Hill/Lenoir loser later tonight.

LENOIR, N.C.-- The Asheville Redbirds took game one of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League Championship Tournament. The Redbirds defeated Athens to advance to Wednesday's winner's bracket game against Kernersville.

LENOIR, N.C.– The Asheville Redbirds will open the Southern Collegiate Baseball League’s Championship Tournament against the Athens Pirates on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Lenoir’s Walker Stadium.

KERNERSVILLE, N.C.– Needing a sweep to earn a first round bye, the Asheville Redbirds dropped the opener but battled back to win game two securing a spot in this upcoming week’s Championship Tournament.

ASHEVILLE, N.C.– Josh Cameron went 2-for-4 with a RBI single in the first inning but it was not enough as Lenoir defeated Asheville 5-1 at Greenwood Field in the final home game of the regular season for the Redbirds on Monday.

ASHEVILLE, N.C.-- Ryan Radford delieverd a bases loaded three RBI double and Jon Fixer added two more RBI as the Asheville Redbirds overcame a 4-1 deficit in game two to salvage a doubleheader split 5-4 against the Morganton Aggies Sunday afternoon.
 
6/28/2005 Tennessee Game Suspended Until
JOHNSON CITY, TENN.--Monday evening's SCBL game between the Tennessee Thunder and the Asheville Redbirds was delayed as the Thunder held a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the second inning. The game will be resumed Wednesday, June 29, at 5:30 p.m. at Milligan College's Anglin Field.

ASHEVILLE, N.C.– Ryan Radford went 5-for-7 with three RBI and four runs scored and DeMario Cash threw a complete game two-hitter in game two as the Redbirds swept a double header over the Athens Pirates 3-2 and 13-2 Sunday afternoon at Greenwood Field.

ASHEVILLE, N.C.– Ryan Radford drove in four runs including the game winner in game one and Chris White drove in the game winner in the bottom of the seventh of game two as the Asheville Redbirds overcame early deficits to earn a double header sweep of the Carolina Chaos on Saturday afternoon.

ASHEVILLE, N.C.--Once again thunderstorms in the Asheville area have forced the postponement of a Redbirds' home game. The Redbirds next game will be on Wendesday in Johnson City, Tenn. Asheville will face Tennessee in a 7 p.m. game.
