Heavy rains in Huntersville this morning has resulted in the Lake Norman Copperheads home opener being postponed. The Copperheads will now open their 2012 home campaign Friday, June 8th at 5:00pm and 7:30 pm with a double header against the Statesville Owls!

3/20/2007	Todd Baker Joins Coaching Staf
Todd Baker will join the Davidson Copperheads this summer as the pitching coach. Last summer Baker was the pitching coach for the Lima Locos of the Great Lakes Collegiate League. He was named the pitching coach for the All-Star game in that same league. Currently Baker is the assistant coach at Ranger Junior College in Ranger, Texas. Baker will run all aspects of the Copperheads pitching staff this summer and will be counted on in numerous other areas as well.

The Davidson Copperheads have received a committment from Kevin Farnsworth of LSU. The sophomore can play a number of positions and will be expected to add some punch to the middle of the Copperheads lineup.

Kurt Fulginiti (IF, Garnder-Webb University) will join his brother Max (High Point University) with the Davidson Copperheads this summer.

The Davidson Copperheads have just added sophomore Mark Perry (SS) and red-shirt freshman Jordan Gibson (LHP) from Charleston Southern University to their roster.

East Carolina University has sent their second player to Davidson for the summer. Devin Harris (OF) will be expected to add immediate punch to the middle of the Copperheads lineup.

Wesley Dozier (UTIL) spent last summer with the Copperheads showcase team. After spending this season at Carson-Newman College, he will return for his first year with the college team.

The Davidson Copperheads have added Randy Hamrick (RHP), a power arm from Lenoir-Rhyne College. The Junior College transfer from Polk Community College (FL) has a low to mid-90's fastball that will be an asset to the Copperheads this summer.

After spending last summer in the starting rotation, Dusty White (RHP, University of North Carolina at Charlotte) will be returning to the Copperheads this summer. Dusty will once again be expected to compete for a spot in the rotation.

After playing for the Carolina Copperheads showcase teams, Tristan Hollar (Blue Ridge Community College) and Matt Cochran (Francis Marion College) will be spending their first summer with the collegiate team.

The Copperheads have added quality depth to their pitching staff with the additions of Brian Packey (Davidson College) and Zach Parmer (Wofford College). Both guys coaches were very high on them after completing their fall seasons.

Max Fulginiti (RF) and Brian Jones (LHP) from High Point University will be playing with the Copperheads this summer. Fulginiti is a strong-armed outfielder how should provide some offensive punch at the top of the Copperheads lineup while Jones should provide some quality innings as both a starter and out of the pen.

Mark Drucker (CF) from Lenior-Rhyne College has committed to play with the Copperheads this summer. The Indian River Community College (FL) transfer will bring a wealth of experience to the Copperheads. The 6.6 runner will play center field this summer and be expected to generate some offense.

Local RHP Chase Martin (Charlotte Christian) and 2B/OF Johnny Dangerfield will be spending their summer in Davidson. Both of these guys come highly recommended from their coaching staff. We are excited to have both of these guys on board this summer.

The Davidson Copperheads have added LHP Shane Small of East Carolina to their roster for the summer. Shane is a local product out of Providence High School.

Coach Chris Pollard will be sending four players to the Davidson Copperheads this summer. Sophomore Kevin Glass (C/1B), and Freshmen Jake Faggart (OF), Jarod Faggart (C/1B), and Devin Riddlehoover (SS) will all be expected to add some offensive punch to the Copperheads lineup this summer.

The Davidson Copperheads have signed Ron Causey (RHP) and Micheal Ghizzoni (UTIL) from Duke University. Causey will add college experience and depth to the bullpen while Ghizzioni will play a number of positions for the Copperheads this summer.
