The Tennessee Tornado will welcome the 2010 team on Thursday May 27th at Cardinal Park at 3pm. We will have a team meeting with the Tornado Management and Coaches will go over rules, regulations and daily schedule. Players will be escorted to the ETSU Buc Ridge Apartments once the meeting is over. Please come out and support your Tornado on Opening Day Tuesday June 1 against the Asheville Redbirds at Cardinal Park game time is at 7pm.

Carolina will travel to Spartanburg for a double header that is very crucial to there season and playoff hopes. Both teams are 15 and 16. Carolina Thunder will be back in action at home Wedensday and Thursday. Come and support them as they rally for the playoffs. The coaching staff has stayed behind their players and tried to keep them motivated and the last few games approach.

Carolina Thunder travel to Asheville last night and got off the bus swinging. Carolina jumped out to a 12-2 lead thinking that would be enough. Asheville came soaring back bringing the game close but the Thunder hung on to win there 15th game of the season 13-10. After sundays meeting was over seven players got phone calls to let them know they had made the all-star roster. Those seven guys were: Anthony Markhun,Ken Graveline,Byron Mckoy,Ben Darlington,Jonathan Dziomba,Stew Brase,Jamie Holler. Also selected was Brandon Sills for the homerun derby. The festivities will start at 4:00pm and the game will follow. Host site is Wofford College. Come out and support your Carolina Thunder players.

Carolina Thunder lose another close game as they battled the other leader of the southern division Spartanburg. It was close game until Spartanburg rallied to go up 2-1 and thats how the game finished. Thunder made a lot of base running blunders that may have cost them the game.

Carolina Thunder played a great game against the Morganton Aggies on Monaday night. Once again Anthony Markum had a great outing on the mound for the Thunder. The game went 11 innings but Morganton came out on top 10 to 7. Carolina Thunder falls to 5 and 2 on the year and will be facing Tennessee Tornados tonight in Tennessee.

Todd Baker Joins Coaching Staf |
Todd Baker will join the Davidson Copperheads this summer as the pitching coach. Last summer Baker was the pitching coach for the Lima Locos of the Great Lakes Collegiate League. He was named the pitching coach for the All-Star game in that same league. Currently Baker is the assistant coach at Ranger Junior College in Ranger, Texas. Baker will run all aspects of the Copperheads pitching staff this summer and will be counted on in numerous other areas as well.

The Davidson Copperheads have received a committment from Kevin Farnsworth of LSU. The sophomore can play a number of positions and will be expected to add some punch to the middle of the Copperheads lineup.

The Davidson Copperheads have just added sophomore Mark Perry (SS) and red-shirt freshman Jordan Gibson (LHP) from Charleston Southern University to their roster.

Wesley Dozier (UTIL) spent last summer with the Copperheads showcase team. After spending this season at Carson-Newman College, he will return for his first year with the college team.

The Davidson Copperheads have added Randy Hamrick (RHP), a power arm from Lenoir-Rhyne College. The Junior College transfer from Polk Community College (FL) has a low to mid-90's fastball that will be an asset to the Copperheads this summer.

After spending last summer in the starting rotation, Dusty White (RHP, University of North Carolina at Charlotte) will be returning to the Copperheads this summer. Dusty will once again be expected to compete for a spot in the rotation.

The Copperheads have added quality depth to their pitching staff with the additions of Brian Packey (Davidson College) and Zach Parmer (Wofford College). Both guys coaches were very high on them after completing their fall seasons.

Max Fulginiti (RF) and Brian Jones (LHP) from High Point University will be playing with the Copperheads this summer. Fulginiti is a strong-armed outfielder how should provide some offensive punch at the top of the Copperheads lineup while Jones should provide some quality innings as both a starter and out of the pen.

Mark Drucker (CF) from Lenior-Rhyne College has committed to play with the Copperheads this summer. The Indian River Community College (FL) transfer will bring a wealth of experience to the Copperheads. The 6.6 runner will play center field this summer and be expected to generate some offense.

Local RHP Chase Martin (Charlotte Christian) and 2B/OF Johnny Dangerfield will be spending their summer in Davidson. Both of these guys come highly recommended from their coaching staff. We are excited to have both of these guys on board this summer.

Coach Chris Pollard will be sending four players to the Davidson Copperheads this summer. Sophomore Kevin Glass (C/1B), and Freshmen Jake Faggart (OF), Jarod Faggart (C/1B), and Devin Riddlehoover (SS) will all be expected to add some offensive punch to the Copperheads lineup this summer.

The Davidson Copperheads have signed Ron Causey (RHP) and Micheal Ghizzoni (UTIL) from Duke University. Causey will add college experience and depth to the bullpen while Ghizzioni will play a number of positions for the Copperheads this summer.
