Matt Discon of the Carolina Chaos was the SCBL player of the Week. The infielder/outfielder hit .588 for the week, was 10 for 27 with 1 Doubles, 3 Runs batted in, and 2 Stolen Bases. Matt played for Delta State University this spring as a jumior and his hometown is Picayune, Mississippi.

 Shane LeBlanc of the Carolina Chaos was the SCBL pitcher of the Week. The right hander threw a complete game against the Asheville Redbirds allowing just 2 hits, striking out 4 batters and walking only 1. Shane was a freshman at University of South Alabama this year and his hometown is Biloxi, Mississippi.
