The 2008 Championship Tournament had to be the best we have seen since the beginning of the League. It is impossible to have seen the tournament and not congratulate the Spartanburg Blue Eagles on their 1 run, 13 inning loss to the Tennessee Tornado, or their 1-run loss to the 2nd seeded Morganton Aggies that eliminated them from the tournament. They played with a lot of heart and their team will be remembered for their play in the tournament.
Contratulations to the Tennessee Tornado for their first League Championship, to the Lake Norman Copperheads for finishing as the League Runner-Up, to the Morganton Aggies for their third straight year as either the 1st or 2nd seed going into the tournament, and to the Spartanburg Blue Eagles for making the tournament in their first year with the League.
