Pitcher of the Week for July 2 – 7, 2007:

Ben Walker of the Tennessee Tornado has been named Pitcher of the Week for July 2 – 7, 2007.  Ben pitched 7.1 innings of shutout baseball allowing only 2 Hits against the Carolina Chaos on July 2, 2007.  In the 7.1 innings pitched, Ben gave up 2 Runs; 0 Earned Runs; 2 BB; and 2 Strikeouts.  For the season Ben has 3 wins; 2.25 ERA; 6 App; 28.0 Innings Pitched; and 12 Strikeouts.

Ben Walker is a freshman at Walters State Community College and lives in Tullahoma, TN.

Player of the Week for July 2 – 7, 2007:

Tommy Baldridge of the Carolina Sox has been named Player of the Week for July 2 – 7, 2007.  Tommy hit two key home runs against the Morganton Aggies to help the Sox go on and win 3 games out of a 4 game series.  Along with his 2 Home Runs, Tommy had 1 Double; 6 BB; 0 K’s; and 9 RBI’s.  His past honors include 2007 Big South Conference First Team All Conference Player; 2007 Big South Conference Tournament MVP; and he was also an All State Player while attending high school at Fort Mill High School in Fort Mill, SC.  For the season, Tommy is hitting .487; 6 Doubles; 5 Home Runs; Slg% .800; BB 11; K’s 10; SB 1-1; OB% .567; and Fld % is 1.000.

Tommy Baldridge is a junior at Coastal Carolina University and lives in Fort Mill, SC.
