Brian Swords

Coach Swords, a native of Liberty, SC, will enter his 8th year as head coach and GM of the Chaos, a position he's held since the team's inception. He has coached high school and collegiate traveling teams for the past 10 years. In recent years, his teams have captured regional and national attention. Swords has led five teams to regional titles. His most notable accomplishment was capturing the National Tournament Championship in 2000 of the Amateur Baseball Association. Swords served as a junior varsity and varsity coach with Liberty High School (Liberty, SC) from 1996-1999. He has also coached and managed teams in the AAU, Stan Musial, and Southeastern Baseball Leagues. In addition to his responsibilities with the Carolina Chaos, Swords also serves as an assistant head baseball coach at his alma mater, Southern Wesleyan University in Central, SC. He resides in Liberty, SC.

Scott Whitlock

Coach Whitlock, a native of Liberty, SC, will begin his third season with the Chaos. Whitlock has coached amateur baseball for over ten years. He has coached teams in the Stan Musial, AAU, and Southern Collegiate Leagues. Known for his witty motivational speeches and cut-throat play calling, Whitlock captures the true essence of baseball. Coach Whitlock and his wife, Teresa, have two children, Haley and Kayla. They reside in Liberty, SC.

Jason Moore

Moore was a 4 year starting pitcher at Southern Wesleyan University. Over his career, he picked up several key wins in a weekend starting role. Moore will enter his second season with the Chaos in 2004, his first as an assistant coach after serving as a graduate assistant during the 2003 season. Moore will bring his pitching expertise to the young arms of the Chaos rotation.

Nathan Swords

Swords will assume the newly created duties of Assistant to the Chaos GM and Assistant Coach during the 2005 season. A Chaos veteran by any stretch of the word, Swords began playing with the Chaos in the 9th grade when the Chaos was a traveling high school team. He has since played 7 consecutive years. He will work with the Chaos GM and coaching staff to ensure the summer goes smooth, concentrating on day-to-day issues in the front office, as well as serving as Assistant Coach for catchers and outfielders. He desires to be a college coach upon graduating from Southern Wesleyan University. He is a Physical Education major at Southern and has been an All-Conference academic selection each year he has been in college.

Jason Burke

Burke will join the Chaos coaching ranks for his first season, after playing the previous two summers for the neighboring Spartanburg Crickets. Jason "Game Over" Burke, as he is known in the SSAC, after serving his college career as closing pitcher for Southern Wesleyan University. Known for his side-armed pitching style, and dominating performances on the mound, Burke will surely liven up the Chaos pitching staff! During his collegiate career, Burke also served as assist coach of the Spartanburg American Legion team and Assistant Coach of his local high school's junior varsity team.
